Google Pay has added a new feature to its payments app that allows you to divide bills between your friends effortlessly. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can split bills using Google Pay.

Step 1 -Launch the Google Pay app on your smartphone.

Step 2 -At the bottom of the screen hit the New payment button. Next up, tap on the New group button which is just below the Transfer money tab.

Step 3-A new screen will appear allowing you to add contacts to the group with whom you want to divide the bill. All of your Google Pay contacts will be displayed here. Tap on the persons with whom you want to share the bill.

Step 4-Users will be able to give the group a name and create it. Once you’ve created the group, you’ll be able to enter it and see a ‘Split an expenditure’ button at the bottom.

Step 5-You can start dividing bills with your contacts now that you’ve formed a Google Pay group. To begin, click the “Split an Expense” option, input the total amount to be split, and then click “Next.”

Step 6-After putting the amount to be divided among the individuals, you may choose to divide it evenly or specify a specific amount that someone must pay. Next Click on Send Request, group members will get a notification to pay and you can also track who has paid the amount and whose it is pending.

Wola no more use of calculators!

If one wants to close the current open request he can click on the dots at the top right of the screen and select Close request to cancel the current transaction.
