Today, LG has officially announced its first gaming laptop in the market. The LG UltraGear 17G90Q is a premium laptop notebook that comes with a notebook-like sleek design with high-end internals. Some of its major highlights are the 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake – H CPU and Nvidia’s RTX GPU.
The pricing of the gaming notebook is not yet revealed so let’s jump to its specifications. The LG UltraGear 17G90Q comes in a large form factor featuring a 17.3-inch display. It is an IPS LCD panel with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
It has a thin side and top bezels but does have a noticeable chin, but that has the UltraGear branding on it. The screen comes with a whopping 300Hz refresh rate which is claimed to have a 1ms response time. It has a 99% sRGB colour gamut.
It draws power from the 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake – H CPU paired with 16GB or 32GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB of M.2 NVMe SSD. As for the graphics, it has Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q GPU. The laptop packs a 93Wh battery and has a DTS X Ultra audio. The laptop also has a vapour chamber cooling system and RGB-backed keyboard.
The LG UltraGear 17G90Q will be available in the home market – South Korea, and its major market the United States. The gaming laptop is expected to show up at the CES 2022 event next year where we expect to learn more of its details.
