The new Bounce electric scooter is now available in India, with an introductory price of Rs 36,000. The EV comes with many features for the asking price. Let’s take a look at all the details.
With its electric scooter Infinity, Bounce became the latest EV company to join the bandwagon of electric vehicle makers in India. On Thursday, the EV maker unveiled its first-ever electric scooter, the Infinity, which is priced at ₹68,999 including battery and charger. Without the battery, the Bounce Infinity electric scooter costs ₹36,000.

The Bounce Infinity E1 will come with a one-of-a-kind ‘Battery as a Service’ option, which is the first of its type in India.

The Bounce Infinity E1 scooters are suitable for FAME II. Here, customers have the option of purchasing the Bounce Infinity E1 at a very affordable price without the battery and using Bounce’s battery replacement array instead. Customers pay for battery replacement every time they swap the battery for a fully charged battery from the Bounce exchange network. This significantly reduces the running costs of the scooter, up to 40% compared to conventional escooters.
The Bounce Infinity E1 electric scooter has telescopic front suspension and 2 shock absorbers at the backend. The Infinity E1 electric scooter’s LED projector headlights give it a sporty appeal, the alloys get a new look. The instrument panel is entirely digital, complete with a digital speedometer and other indicators. The 12-litre under-seat storage area on the Bounce Infinity E1 electric scooter provides plenty of room for helmets.
The Bounce Infinity E1 electric powered scooter is powered via way of means of a 2kWh lithium-ion battery that develops no less than and 83Nm of torque, with a zero to 40kmph time of eight seconds, and a top speed of 65kmph. The battery is said to take 4-5 hours to charge when plugged into a standard electrical outlet. Different speeds and ranges are available in the Power and Eco modes, which may be altered with the push of a button.
The architecture of the Bounce Infinity E1 system has been enhanced with smart sensors and features. A 6axis accelerometer, overvoltage protection, side stand sensor. When the Infinity E1 leaves your preset geographical borders, it will immediately notify you. E1 has an antitheft system that detects vibrations while parked and can tell if it’s been tampered with. It responds to movement by locking its back wheels, making it more difficult to move. If the bike leaves its parking zone, it will notify you. Each time you brake, the Electronic Braking System (EBS) generates energy to replenish the battery.
Sporty Red, Sparkle Black, Pearl White, Silver, and Comed Grey are the five fantastic colour options available for the Bounce Infinity E1.
In 2021, Bounce paid US$7 million for 100 per cent ownership in the now-defunct 22Motors, which included its production facilities in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, which had an annual capacity of 1,80,000 scooters. The corporation intends to build a new factory in southern India in the near future.

What makes bounce different from others is their swap stations
It is an automated pod unit that houses batteries and keeps them charged and ready for use. They can be connected to a store or can be located independently and are open 24×7 for any Bounce rider. Each exchange does not take more than 1-2 minutes. It will be useful for those who plan on buying it without the battery and for people who don’t have to charge space at home. More about it later.
Pricing
One of the most important aspects of the Infinity Escooter is price. It costs Rs 68,999 with a battery and charger but depending on state government incentives, it might cost as little as ₹59,999. Customers who choose the ‘battery as a service’ option would pay Rs 36,000 for the E-Scooter. This poses a challenge to Bounce Infinity’s competitors who charge a significantly higher price. A three-year warranty is included with the E-Scooter. In the meanwhile, deliveries are expected to commence in March 2022. From mid-December onwards, it will be accessible for test rides. The Infinity E1 will be available through 200 dealerships.
