Snapdragon 888+ Will Offer Minimal Performace Boast Over the Predecessor, Geekbench Results

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 is quite popular and is one of the most powerful chipsets available in the market. Currently, more than 50 phones in the market are fueling the chipset and thanks to its performance and success, a refreshment is incoming.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ Geekbench Results

Just like the previous Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, this one too will get a Plus upgrade. As expected earlier to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ moniker, the chipset has now arrived on the Geekbench 5 portal codenamed as ‘Lahaina’. It flaunts 1171 single-core points and 3704 multi-core points.

The chipset scores only a few percent higher scores in comparison to the Snapdragon 888. Notably, the only difference from the Snapdragon 888 would be the Cortex X1 super core which is upgraded from 2.84 GHz to 3 GHz. It implies that the phone will offer only a minimal performance hike over the Snapdragon 888.

Moving back to Geekbench scores, the test was done using a device running on 6GB of RAM which confirms its compatibility. In future, we can expect phones with up to whopping 18GB of RAM to make use of the chipset.

Expected Tech Specs of the Chipset

Apart from this, we can expect the same Snapdragon X60 5G modem to work with the SoC. It is expected to have a peak upload speed of 7.5 Gbps and a peak download speed of 3 Gbps.

In terms of resolution support, the chipset is expected to support the upcoming game-centric phones that feature 144Hz refresh rate.

Other than this, the details regarding the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ are yet to be up on the cards. We can expect some of the upcoming flagships launching in Q3, Q4 to come powered by this chipset.
