Smartphone Specifications (Expected)

Display and Design

Thanks to the source code spotted, it is now perspicuous that the F3 GT will be nothing but a K40 Gaming Edition rebadged model. Said that the phone is expected to have the same specs sheet as the K40 Gaming Edition. There might be some tweaking when it arrives but for now, we have a solid specs sheet to refer.

The Poco F3 GT is expected to have a large 6.67-inch display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It will bean a Punch-hole panel with the cut-out at the top left corner. The screen will be an AMOLED panel carrying a high 120Hz refresh rate. Well, a gaming phone with and high refresh rate screen is a must but what about the touch sampling rate? The F3 GT is expected to have a whopping 480Hz touch sampling rate.

When gaming, the higher touch sampling rate will surely make some difference. The thin-bezel display will come with support for HDR10+ and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen will have 500 nits of typical brightness and will support 1 billion colors.

Cameras on the Poco F3 GT

Although a game-centric phone, the F3 GT won’t let you down with its cameras. The device may have a triple rear camera setup placed vertically. The rear camera module will be quite different. It will have a bordering around the sides and a LED light at the top and bottom edges of the island.

The setup will be led by a 64-megapixel primary lens with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view, and lastly, a 2-megapixel macro lens. The primary sensor will be a Sony IMX 686 sensor just like the main sensor on the K40 Gaming Edition. At the front, the smartphone will have a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with HDR video.

Both the front and rear cameras will be able to shoot 1080p videos at 30fps with up to 4K 30fps recording capability from the rear sensor. There will be a dual-LED flash at the rear.

Partnership with PUBG(Battlegrounds Mobile India)

Recently, PUBG from Tencent Games also announced its comeback under Battlegrounds Mobile India branding. Since we have one of the most popular games incoming in the region, the Poco F3 GT might just be lucky to arrive at a similar timeline. We can also expect a partnership between Krafton(the current presenter of the mobile game) and Pocophone.

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition was tossed at a starting price of CNY 1,999(~₹23,000) for the base 6GB + 128GB variant. With that said, the Poco F3 GT is expected to be priced similarly in the region. We expect that it could be priced between ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 range when it arrives in India.

The phone may launch in three color variants – Black , Silver, and Gray. We can also expect a special color edition for the Indian market.
