Nubia has been a consistent player when it comes to innovation in smartphone offerings. The last Nubia Z20 that came with a secondary display had the fans stupefied. The successor for the same was in the news lately and now, Nubia has officially confirmed the launch date of the flagship smartphone. The upcoming Nubia Z30 will debut on May 20 in the Chinese market.
Nubia Z30 Series Highlights
The Nubia Z30 will be a series consisting of a few devices. Just like the predecessor which was heavens in terms of display and design(at least for some fans), the Z30 will primarily be better in the cameras. sensors.
The co-founder of Nubia boasted about the cameras of the Nubia Z30 Pro. The Pro will be the higher-end flagship phone in the series with cameras claimed to be like SLRs. It will bring features such as aperture adjustments, exposure switching, and different capturing modes.
Unfortunately, the exact details regarding the camera sensors haven’t been revealed but the rumor mill had revealed a few details earlier. Let’s discuss it in the latter part of the article.
Display and Cameras(Leaked)
The Nubia Z30’s render and under-display camera technology were also touted recently. The render gives us a closer look at the smartphone. At the front, the device imposters a similar design as its predecessor. It has a curved full-screen panel with almost bare minimum bezels. The edges wrap around the sides giving an intuitive experience. As said above, the phone will make use of an under-display front camera sensor which won’t be visible to the naked eyes.
Moreover, the phone will have a quadruple-camera system. As said earlier, the sensors are yet to be revealed but the render shows the 100x hybrid zooming branding below the sensors. It seems as if the phone will be similar to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in terms of cameras, well, at least on paper. It also utters that one of the lenses on the phone will be a periscope unit.
While we aren’t exactly sure but we expect the primary lens to be of a crazy high megapixel count. It will probably have an ultra-wide-angle sensor as its secondary camera.
Hardware and Battery on the Z30 – NX667J
Other than the cameras, the Nubia Z30 series is expected to employ the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset under the hood. For those who don’t know, it is currently the most powerful Snapdragon chipset in the market. The chipset is based on a 5nm process and has Adreno 660 GPU.
We expect the phones to have a base 8GB of RAM variant and may go up to 12GB. Just as its predecessor, the phone is speculated to have up to 512GB of onboard storage. Although we know that Nubia will make use of in-display camera sensors but we aren’t sure whether it will imply an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Additionally, a Nubia phone carrying the model number NX667J made it to the 3C certification in China. It is believed to be some model from the Z30 series. The certification revealed the impressive fast charging technology on the phone. According to the document, the device with the aforementioned model number will support whopping 120W fast charging technology.
Currently, we are left with only a few details but as the launch inches closer we expect more details to pop in the mill. Once we get more information, we’ll update you on the same.
