After releasing iOS 15.1 and relatively minor iOS 15.1.1 updates in October, Apple has now published iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 updates, which include support for the new Apple Music Voice Plan. This is a new Apple Music membership tier that allows you to listen to music using Siri. The update also adds the App Privacy Report, additional safety features for children and parents in Messages, and other iPhone and iPad enhancements and bug fixes.

The latest iOS version includes Legacy Contacts for maintaining your data after you die, as well as enhancements to Find My, Hide My Email, and other features.

  • App Privacy report
    The update includes a new App Privacy Report that allows users to view how frequently applications have accessed your location, photographs, camera, microphone, contacts, and other data during the previous seven days, as well as their network activities.
  • Communication Safety feature for iMessage
    The function is intended to improve the safety of underage users by allowing parents to enable warnings for children when they receive or transmit images containing adult content. This feature must be opt-in by parents.
  • Apple Music Voice Plan
    The new membership plan allows customers to utilize Siri to access all songs, playlists, and stations in Apple Music. You may ask Siri to recommend songs based on preferences. originally introduced in October the apple music plan costs $4.99 and $14.99 for the family plan, you get access to all songs, playlists, music videos, lyrics, and radio stations.
  • New TV app
    The new Store page allows you to explore, buy, and rent movies and TV shows in one place.
  • Legacy Contact feature
    This is another crucial feature that protects users’ iCloud data after they die. One can select people as Legacy Contacts so that they can access your iCloud account and personal information even if something happens to you. With Legacy Contacts, you may designate a trusted individual to have access to your App Apple ID after you die. The person you name as your contact has access to your images, messages, notes, files, contacts, calendar events, applications, and so on.
  • App Privacy Report
    It’s a privacy tool that allows users to view how frequently applications have accessed their permission-restricted data over the previous days, such as location, text, images, microphone, and contacts.
  • Display Repair Restriction
    Apple has eliminated the microcontroller pairing requirement that prevented Face ID from working on iPhone 13 models with swapped screens, allowing for display repairs. which was previously blocked by apple as only apple had the tool through which they can change it, independent repair businesses do not have access to those tools, they were dissatisfied with their inability to do simple display repairs.
  • New Notification view
    Notification Summary was updated by Apple in iOS 15.2, and it now has a new layout with a card-style display that highlights summaries in overlapping decks.
  • Macro mode for iPhone 13New Macro picture control for switching to the Ultra Wide lens to shoot macro images and films, which can be activated in Settings for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max but This functionality will be unavailable on any other iPhone device.
  • Emergency SOS
    The quick press functioned before but there was no option to hold down both buttons at the same time. If you have Auto Call activated, Apple has now introduced an 8-sec countdown before placing a call, up from the previous 3-sec countdown.

Bug fixes –
⦁ While VoiceOver is active and the iPhone is locked, Siri may not react.
⦁ When viewing ProRAW photographs in third-party photo editing tools, they may seem overexposed.
⦁ CarPlay may not be updated right now. Playing data for certain applications
⦁ On iPhone 13 models, video streaming applications may fail to load content.
⦁ Calendar events for Microsoft Exchange users may show on an incorrect day.

To get the most recent update, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and select Download and Install. Boom now you have successfully updated to ios 15.2.
