Twitter Spaces, Fleets, and a bunch of other major updates were welcomed by the Twitter community recently. While users are growing over Twitter Spaces, the Fleets feature still has mixed opinions from users. Love it or hate it, Twitter Fleets is saying goodbye on August 3.
Yes, Twitter Fleets, launched in November 2020 for the public is all set to shut down on August 3. Twitter’s official handle said, “we’re removing Fleets on August 3, working on some new stuff”, it continued, “we’re sorry or you’re welcome.”
Twitter seems to have realized the fact that, Fleets, is not an original idea, and it needs to come up with something new and original. Considering the above tweet from Twitter, we can expect some new features to launch soon on Twitter.
So far, Twitter has tried its subscription model called Twitter Blue in Canada and Australia. The Tweet reactions are in the works, and Twitter has also been experimenting with verification for several Twitter handles.
