Vivo’s much-awaited flagship smartphones, Vivo X80 and X80 Pro have finally arrived in India. These 5G smartphones will be available to buyers from May 25, 2022, via Flipkart. Amid all the excitement, let’s check the price, features, and other details of these smartphones.
Vivo has launched the X80 series with improved internals and a new design. It will compete with the likes of the two most popular smartphone series Samsung S22 and iPhone 13. Also, it will take on the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which is priced similarly.

Vivo X80 series is the cheaper option among the former two phones mentioned above, and the target audience of the series is those who are looking for a great photography experience at a modest price.
Vivo X80 Pro, Vivo X80 Price in India
The price of Vivo X80 Pro is Rs. 79,999 for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.
Vivo X80 comes at Rs. 54,999 rupees for 8GB + 128GB storage configuration, and Rs. 59,999 for 12GB + 256GB model.
Specifications and features
Display
Both have 6.78 Inch, 120HzAmoled display. However, the Pro version has a QHD+ LTPO display, and the standard version has an FHD+ screen.
Processor
The X80 Pro has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 1 SoC. And, the X80 smartphone comes up with MediaTek 9000 SoC.
RAM
Vivo offers a 12GB LPDDR5 RAM option for both smartphones, but the X80 also gets an 8GB LPDDR5 RAM option.
Storage
256GB UFS 3.1 storage option is available for both smartphones. However, the X80 series also has a lower 128GB storage variant.
Rear Camera
Those who have a knack for photography can enjoy using the Vivo X80 series at its best. The standard X80 smartphone has a triple-camera setup – a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor with OIS, a 12-megapixel portrait sensor, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The Pro version has a quad-camera setup – a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GNV primary sensor, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 ultra-wide angle sensor, an 8-megapixel periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom, a lastly a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 camera.
Front Camera
You will get 32-megapixel cameras on both phones for selfies.
Battery
The Vivo X80 has a 4,500mAh battery, but the Pro version has a 4,700mAh unit.
Key variations
Vivo X80 is the cheaper model, but it has MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. When you choose the Pro version, you will get the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 SoC which is also the core of many flagship smartphones in 2022, including the Samsung Galaxy 22 Series, OnePlus 10 Pro, and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
With the Vivo X80 series, you can capture great night shots, thanks to its Vivo V1 Plus imaging chip.
