Bounce Indias scooter rental company is set to launch its own full-electric scooter next month. The Scooter rental service startup Bounce has announced the launch date of its next electric scooter model in India. Bounce’s first electric vehicle called ‘Infinity’ will hit the market on December 2, 2021. The company plans to deliver electric vehicles to India in 2022.

According to a company statement, the Bounce Infinity electric scooter will come with “enhanced state-of-the-art equipment and intelligent features”. Bounce also plans to come up with a truly unique scooter that will set it apart from its competitors such as the Ather and recently launch ola electric scooters.

The Bounce Infinity has a detachable lithium-ion battery that consumers can remove and charge at their convenience at home or anywhere else. Also, the scooter’s ‘Battery as a Service’ option is one of its primary selling points. Customers may buy the scooter without the battery and then use Bounce’s battery swapping network like a battery subscription to get on the road. This approach will significantly reduce the cost of the vehicle when compared to purchasing a battery-powered vehicle.

The production of the batteries, as well as the battery subscription management system, will be done in India, said Bounce. The company stated that the cells in the battery will be imported mostly from LG & Panasonic. Other specifications regarding charging time battery capacity, Range, and different modes are yet to be known

The electric scooter will be available for less than Rs 50,000 for the replaceable battery option and around Rs 70,000 for the regular battery model.

On the other hand, Ola’s S1 escooter is priced at Rs 99,999, while the S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1,29,999. And  The price of Ather 450X starts at Rs. 1.13 Lakh and goes up to Rs. 1.32 Lakh. This makes it quite inexpensive compared to its counterparts.
