Infinix on Thursday launched a new budget smartphone dubbed Infinix Hot 10S in the Indian market. The Hot 10S will compete with the likes of Redmi and Realme phones in the region. It is worth noting that the device was initially launched in Indonesia which apparently is the company’s other major market. The Hot 10S offers a high refresh rate display under ₹10,000 price bracket and features compelling cameras and hardware.

Display and Design
Infinix Hot 10S sports a polycarbonate plastic built with a unique patterned design. It has a large 6.82-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution. Although an HD+ panel, the display shines in its refresh rate, thanks to the 90Hz refresh rate and a high 180Hz touch sampling rate.
The screen has a contrast ratio of 1500:2 and 440 nits of peak brightness. The display has a 90.66 percent screen-to-body ratio and an aspect ratio of 20.5:9.
Cameras on the Infinix Hot 10S
The smartphone boasts a triple camera array at the rear with a 48-megapixel primary lens. The lens has an aperture of f/1.79. It is accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for depth sensing and an AI lens.
It also has a Quad-LED flash for lighting up the shots at night time. The camera comes with a HDR mode, portrait mode, and beauty filters. The rear camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.
Hardware and Software
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB/ 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Infinix has not revealed the type of the storage but we will update it once we get more information on the same.
The storage is expandable up to 256GB with the help of the dedicated microSD card slot. The device houses a big 6,000mAh battery which is one of its highlights. It is supported by a 18W fast charging support. Infinix claims that the phone can offer up to 76 hours of music playback, 27 hours of video playback, and 52 hours of 4G talk time.
The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfering. It has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and support for Face unlock for security. It also has FM radio and Bluetooth v5.0 support.
The device weighs at 211 grams and has quite thick at 9.2mm.
Pricing, Colors, and Availability
The smartphone is priced at ₹9,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and ₹10,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage.It can be picked in four color options – 95-Degree Black, 7-Degree Purple, Morandi Purple, and Heart of Ocean.
It will be available for purchase starting from May 27 at 12 PM. Those who will purchase it in the first sale will get ₹500 discount making he base variant available for ₹9,500.
