Xiaomi has become one of the most popular tech giants not only in the home market but also in the global market. To cater to the different segments of buyers around the globe, the company kicked off multiple sub-brands and one of the most popular being the Pocophone brand. Ever since its original Pocophone F1, the company has been dropping several rebranded handsets. The Poco X2, F2 Pro, and even the new M-series all were rebadged devices from the company. With that said, the company is yet again coming into the market with a rebranded device dubbed Poco F3 GT.
A Twitter user has managed to find the moniker Poco F3 GT in the source code which will presumably be the rebranded Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition smartphone. After a long wait, the F-series in the Indian region will resume itself, thanks to the upcoming F3 GT.
We don’t have much information as of now considering that this is the first batch of leaks regarding the smartphone. Nonetheless, if it is a rebranded Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, then it will have a pretty solid specs sheet.
Poco F3 GT Specifications(Expected)
Display and Design
The smartphone will come with a 6.67-inch punch-hole display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It will be an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display will support HDR10+ content and have super-thin bezels.
Being a gaming-centric smartphone, the device will have flagship-grade hardware. Starting with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 onboard, the device is expected to have up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. For those who are unaware, the Dimensity 1200 is a new-gen flagship SoC based on a much-efficient 6nm process.
It is expected to house a 5,000mAh battery, just like the Redmi K40 Game Edition, and have support for 67W Rapid charging. Special game shoulder buttons and an LED-ring light over the camera island are all we can expect from the F3 GT.
Cameras on the Poco F3 GT
Although a gaming phone does not boast good cameras, the Poco F3 GT could actually have a great camera system. If it is believed to be a rebranded Redmi K40 Gaming Edition then it will feature a triple rear camera system. It will be led by a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP tertiary lens. At the front, it may sport a 16MP selfie camera.
Apart from the specs, the smartphone will compete with the likes of Realme, iQOO, and parent-brand Xiaomi. One major thing to notice is the moniker, it is quite similar to the Realme GT Neo. This could possibly mean that the upcoming Pocophone F3 GT will go head-to-head with the Realme GT Neo.
Other than this, the smartphone is expected to initially debut in the Indian market but the launch date remains to be seen. Later or at the time frame, it may also land in the European market since Poco branded phones are quite popular in some European regions.
