Realme X7 Max 5G Indian Launch Scheduled For May 31, Realme Smart TVs Incoming

Realme unveiled the Realme GT Neo smartphone a few weeks back in the Chinese market. Being one of the most powerful Dimensity powered devices it has been competing with the likes of Xiaomi, Redmi, Oppo, and other Chinese phone makers in the region. A few days after its launch, there was a new rumor surrounding the Indian variant of the phone and Now, Realme has finally taken wraps off its availability details in India.

Realme on its social media handle has confirmed that the phone will arrive in the region with the moniker ‘Realme X7 Max 5G’ instead of the original Chinese naming, Realme GT Neo. The device will hit the floors on May 31 in India and will be officially sold online exclusively on the Flipkart shopping portal. It is said to be the first MediaTek Dimensity 1200 powered phone in the Indian market.

While the phone’s launch date is revealed the specs for it are still unknown. Not to worry as the leak spree has tipped that the device could feature a similar specs sheet as the Realme GT Neo.

Realme X7 Max 5G Rumored Specifications

Display and Design

The Realme X7 Max 5G is expected to come with a polycarbonate built with a unique rear design. Although plastic, it shouldn’t be a cheap material consider the GT Neo has a good quality back with a gradient design. The phone is expected to have a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution.

The screen is expected to be a punch-hole display with thin bezels and modern aspect ratio. At the back, the phone is expected to have the same thick strip going through its rear camera module. The colored strip design will have a huge Realme branding, just like the GT Neo.

Speaking of the design, the phone’s color variants were tipped. It is said to come in three colors – Milky Way, Asteroid Black, and Mercury Silver.

64MP Triple Rear Cameras, 4K@60fps

As for cameras, the smartphone is expected to have a vertical rear camera module holding three cameras. It could feature a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro unit. It may have a 16-megapixel single selfie camera.

In our comparison, we covered that the Realme GT Neo has a support for 4K video recording at 60 fps from its rear cameras. We expect the same to be supported on the Realme X7 Max 5G.

Major Hardware Highlights – Dimensity 1200, 12GB RAM, and 3.5mm Audio Jack

Under the roof, it is confirmed to come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. For those who don’t know, it is the latest and the mos powerful Dimensity chipset in the market which is based on 6nm process.

Recently, the phone’s variants were leaked and it is expected to come in two configurations – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.

It will pack a 4,000mAh battery with support for fast charging support. It could have either a 50W Quick charging technology or a 60W Dart fast charging support.

Realme India’s head, Madhav Sheth confirmed that it will be having a 3.5mm headphone jack which the existing competitor Redmi K40 is missing. It will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security.

Realme Smart TV Highlights

Realme is also expected to unveil Smart TVs on May 31 and they would come in two sizes – 43inch and 50inch. The major highlights of the TVs will be the 4K screen, Dolby Vision support, and Dolby Atmos audio support. Rumors suggest that there could also be a few more gadgets tossed at the event which were seen in the Chinese market earlier.

With only a few days left for the release, the only thing left to learn is the availability and pricing.
