The Xiaomi 12 series was unveiled today, December 28. It is the most anticipated flagship to be released, succeeding the successful Mi 11 Series. The series is expected to comprise the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12 Pro, and the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The most notable feature of the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone is that it will be the first in the range to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

the Xiaomi 12 will be available in an 8GB with 128GB storage variant that will cost CNY 3699 that translates to INR 43000. Whereas the 8GB with 256GB storage model is expected to cost CNY 3999 that translates to INR 46900, while the 12GB with 256GB storage model will cost CNY 4399 which is around INR 51500. Global availability is not known but it will launch in the first half of next year till that time it will face good competition from the OnePlus 10 Pro and Realme GT 2 Pro.
The flagship phone comes with a 6.28-inch AMOLED display. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate, 419ppi, a 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+ compatibility, and a peak brightness of 1,100 nits. It is additionally shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The phone runs MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. There are three variants available: 8GB RAM /128GB storage, 8GB RAM /256GB storage, and 12GB RAM /256GB storage.It comes with UFS 3.1 which supports faster read and write speeds. The phone has speakers specially made by Harman/Kardon.
The Xiaomi 12 is said to include a 50-megapixel IMX766 AS primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field of view, and a 32-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
In the battery department, Xiaomi 12 includes a 4,500mAh battery that with 67W rapid charging. It also supports 30W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. In the connectivity department, it gets the latest Bluetooth 5.2, Wifi 6, NFC.
